Experiential tourism attracts visitors to Lai Chau

Lai Chau has more than 20 tourist areas and experiences that attract many tourists, including Si Thau Chai, Lao Chai 1, Na Khuong villages and Ban Tham Tourist Area (Tam Duong district); Sin Suoi Ho (Phong Tho district), Gia Khau (Lai Chau city)...

In particular, Sin Suoi Ho community tourism village, Sin Suoi Ho commune, Phong Tho district was recognized by the International Tourism Fair Forum held in Yogyakarta City (Indonesia) as the most attractive community tourism destination in ASEAN on February 5, 2023. Sin Suoi Ho is increasingly becoming an attractive destination in Lai Chau. This is a rare Mong village with a comprehensive, spacious, clean and beautiful tourism plan; its own unique architecture, imbued with national identity. Visitors coming here are surprised by the scenery of the remote, neat and pretty mountainous village; enjoy experiencing the market, culture, cuisine... of this place. During the recent holiday, the room occupancy rate in the Mong village here reached 100%.

Ban Tham Tourist Area, Ban Hon Commune, Tam Duong District, where the Lu ethnic group lives, attracts tourists. The Lu ethnic group, an ethnic group of less than 10,000 people, with its unique lifestyle, costumes, culture, etc., and the charming village space here, has captivated tourists.

Mr. Tran Quang Khang, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau province, said that to ensure the safety of tourists, the Department has coordinated with local authorities to inspect and control the quality of services at tourist areas, attractions, accommodation establishments, and tourist service businesses in the province to promptly detect, correct, and strictly handle violations. Localities strictly implement price stabilization, price posting and selling according to the listed price, not allowing negative phenomena to occur, creating an impression on tourists.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lai Chau, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, the province welcomed more than 40,000 visitors, with total revenue reaching more than 31 billion VND. Of which, domestic visitors were more than 39,000; international visitors were more than 1,300, more than double the number during the 2022 holidays.
