According to the Department of Planning and Investment, in the first 7 months of 2023, Hai Duong attracted 256 million USD in foreign direct investment (FDI), equivalent to the same period last year. The difference in attracting FDI this year compared to last year is that newly licensed projects increased in both quantity and investment capital. The whole province has 38 newly licensed FDI projects, with a total capital of 178.5 million USD, an increase of about 6 times compared to the same period last year. Investment projects mainly in the manufacturing and processing industry come from countries and territories such as Hong Kong, Singapore, Korea, China, Germany, etc.
In addition, the province adjusted the capital increase for 21 projects with an additional capital of 77 million USD. The remaining 5 projects were capital contributions and share purchases by foreign investors in domestic enterprises.
