The work "Seahorse" is beautifully shaped from rough pebbles.

This is the first time Tuy Phong District People's Committee has organized this contest.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Duong Hong Son, Vice Chairman of Tuy Phong District People's Committee said: The contest "Arranging artistic stones on the sand" aims to exploit the values of tourism resources and promote the spirit of initiative and creativity in using the available local resources and advantages to develop and build Tuy Phong tourism brand to be increasingly attractive and highly competitive.

This is also an opportunity to promote the image of the homeland, people, and culture of Binh Thuan in general, Tuy Phong district in particular, to the people and tourists inside and outside the province. Thereby, creating a meaningful playground for organizations and individuals to participate in creating beautiful, novel, unique, and distinctive works of art from available local resources. Above all, the contest also demonstrates the responsibility of local authorities in preserving and promoting the value of local heritage, creating a spread to the local community.

The contest attracted 53 groups of authors from within and outside the locality. After 2 hours of showing their talents, the art enthusiasts meticulously arranged and shaped beautiful, artistic, and interesting works, containing their own implications. They were a wind farm, a boat full of waves under the sun, the life of a fishing village, historical and cultural relics of the sea or marine creatures. The simple, rustic stones seemed to be breathed into life.

According to the jury, the entries this time all used available materials such as stones from Ca Duoc rock beach and sand and sea water. The works all met the criteria of creating clear main and secondary images; creating color contrast from stones of different colors. The content of the works is also rich, promoting the potential, strengths, and people of Binh Thuan in general, and Tuy Phong in particular.

Tourist Romeu, from Portugal, shared: "I have been to many places in Vietnam but have never seen such a competition. It is fun when everyone gathers on the beach and creates very cute works. I like the designs of sea creatures and dolphins. I think this is a good opportunity for many tourists to know about this beach."

Ca Duoc rock beach (also known as seven-color rock beach) was formed hundreds of years ago, stretching nearly 1.5 km on Binh Thanh beach, and was zoned for protection by provincial and local authorities with a total area of 10 hectares.

Due to the impact of tides, ocean currents, seawater and rocks pushed up by the waves from year to year, the natural 7-color rock beach is formed: Black, gray, brown, yellow, purple, blue, white with beautiful veins. Under the waves and tropical sunlight, the entire rock beach shines with shimmering colors like pure gems.
