According to information from Hai Duong City Electricity, in recent days, the electricity consumption of some fish cage farming households in Tien Tien commune has increased dramatically, about 30-40% compared to normal days. The unit has increased the capacity of circuit breakers to meet the electricity demand of fish farming households.
Electricity output increased because households increased the use of aerators to create oxygen for fish because the amount of oxygen in the water was too low in recent days, causing mass fish deaths. Many households also used water pumps to create oxygen for fish.
To meet the increasing demand for electricity, since April 5, Hai Duong City Electricity has increased the circuit breaker capacity in this area from 200A to 250A. Currently, households raising fish in cages in Tien Tien commune get electricity from Du Tai 2 transformer station, with a capacity of 250 kVA.
To ensure stable and safe power supply for cage fish farming households, Hai Duong City Electricity regularly sends forces to be on duty at the transformer station during peak hours, promptly handling any problems; regularly checking periodically, measuring current during peak hours at the transformer station. At the same time, coordinating with local authorities to propagate people to use electricity economically, especially during peak hours from 5pm to 7pm every day...
Currently, Hai Duong City Electricity is building an additional 180 kVA Dong Dien transformer station to supply electricity mainly to cage fish farming households, expected to be completed in about 3 months.
Tien Tien commune's fish cage farming area currently has more than 60 households, each household has an average of about 20 fish cages.
