In the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Hai Duong aims to develop services into a spearhead economic sector; capable of providing high-quality services, serving production activities in the province and the Red River Delta. Focus on developing the trade and service sector to meet consumer needs, improving the quality of people's lives.
On that roadmap, Hai Duong determines to develop a synchronous and modern trade system. Build and develop product brands, especially agricultural products, to enhance product value as well as the province's image in the domestic and international markets. "Maintaining and improving OCOP products" can be said to be one of the specific solutions that Hai Duong has been implementing. Thereby, gradually creating an impression and highlight of Hai Duong branded products in the general market picture of the whole country. Upgrading OCOP products is a favorable condition for products to be selected and enhance their value in the domestic market, gradually reaching out to export markets. Hai Duong determines that OCOP products must definitely follow the direction of brand, quality and must join together to develop products.
Developing high-quality services, closely linked to urban development and industrial parks; developing logistics services to promote connectivity advantages in the Red River Delta. This is the next "bullet point" on the roadmap to turn services into a spearhead economic sector of Hai Duong. Hai Duong strives to form 8 logistics centers in Hai Duong city, Kinh Mon town and Binh Giang, Kim Thanh, Thanh Ha, Gia Loc, Cam Giang, Ninh Giang districts by 2030 with a total area of over 200 hectares. With this future, the service industry is expected to have a lot more room for development, especially in playing the role of connecting stages and chains in the production process as well as from production to consumption.
How will tourism develop?
When it comes to services, tourism is indispensable. Hai Duong determines to develop modern professional tourism, unique and attractive tourism products, focusing on cultural tourism and eco-tourism; promote linkages with localities in the Red River Delta and other tourist areas and spots to form intra-provincial and inter-provincial cultural and eco-tourism routes.
Develop tourism with a focus on cultural tourism, eco-tourism, agricultural and rural tourism and craft village tourism. Promote the development of high-quality tourism services, associated with recreational, entertainment and experiential tourism activities. In the province, there are currently 4 provincial-level tourist areas recognized: Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site; Phoenix historical and scenic site and Cao Temple historical and architectural relic site (both in Chi Linh); An Phu - Kinh Chu - Nham Duong historical and scenic site (Kinh Mon). In which, step by step investment in infrastructure of Con Son - Kiep Bac relic site meets the criteria for recognition as a national tourist area.
In addition, Hai Duong has many potential locations for investment and development into provincial-level tourist areas such as: Ben Tam Lake and Thanh Mai Forest Resort and Meditation Area (Chi Linh); "Vietnamese Countryside" Resort and Tourism Area (Thanh Ha); "Stork Island" Eco-Tourism Area (Thanh Mien); "Pearl Island" Tourist Area (Hai Duong City); Mao Dien Temple of Literature Cultural Tourism Area (Cam Giang).
In the list of priority projects to be implemented in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the province will focus on developing Thanh Long Lake spiritual tourism area; Con Vinh Tru ecological entertainment area; Dam Ven ecological resort complex (with Chi Linh city); Trade and service complex project; Bac Hung Hai riverside project with a scale of 2,496 hectares (with Gia Loc district); Agricultural resort tourism area, Health care and nursing home center; Bac Hung Hai riverside project with a scale of 715 hectares (with Ninh Giang district); Mo Trach village ecological area (Binh Giang); Huong River ecological tourism (Thanh Ha); Nature conservation project of expanded Co Island area (Thanh Mien).
It is forecasted that by 2050 Hai Duong will welcome 15.4 million visitors, including 6.4 million international visitors and 9 million domestic visitors.
With the vision in planning, Hai Duong's service industry will become a spearhead economic sector. Thereby, by 2030 the province will achieve an average economic growth rate of 9.5%/year, GRDP per capita of over 180 million VND, service accounts for 24.1% of the province's GRDP.
