Trung Nguyen's coffee exhibition and display project was terminated in September 2022, but the land has not been reclaimed yet. The local government has just proposed to reclaim the land.
The People's Committee of Bao Lam district (Lam Dong province) has just submitted to the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and issuance of a decision to reclaim land for the Trung Nguyen Legend - Loc An Coffee Exhibition and Display Area project (Loc An commune, Bao Lam district) of Trung Nguyen Coffee Joint Stock Company.
Previously, in September 2022, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee decided to terminate this project. At the same time, Bao Lam District People's Committee was assigned to manage and use the land area after recovery according to regulations.
The Trung Nguyen Legend - Loc An Coffee Exhibition and Display Area project has a scale of 15,529 m2, and was approved for investment in October 2017.
According to the investment schedule, Trung Nguyen must complete the project and put it into use by the end of the third quarter of 2019. However, the investor did not implement the project on schedule.
Project of Trung Nguyen Legend Coffee Exhibition and Display Area - Loc An
This project was terminated due to slow progress, violations of the 2014 Investment Law and the 2020 Investment Law, and the investor's delay in putting the land into use.
In order to have a basis for developing a plan to manage and exploit the land area of the Trung Nguyen Legend - Loc An Coffee Exhibition and Display Area project, the People's Committee of Bao Lam district proposed that the Provincial People's Committee consider and issue a decision to reclaim the project land.
In addition to this project, Bao Lam District People's Committee also requested Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee to issue a decision to reclaim land for the Housing Project for Low-Income People in Loc Thang Town, Bao Lam District of Ngoc Son Bao Lam Company Limited.
This project was terminated in July 2021, but up to now, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has not yet decided to reclaim the land and has not yet handed it over to Bao Lam District People's Committee for management.
For the above two projects, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document assigning the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to consider the proposal of Bao Lam District People's Committee and report to the Provincial People's Committee before June 9.
