Investing over 20 billion VND to rebuild Thach Khoi culvert (Hai Duong city)

The new culvert was built at the old Thach Khoi culvert location, in Thach Khoi ward (Hai Duong city). The project has an estimated investment of over 20 billion VND, using public investment sources from the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development.

The new Thach Khoi culvert consists of 3 compartments, with a total length of 30.29 m. Along with the construction of the new culvert, the project also includes the renovation and upgrading of the canal banks adjacent to the new culvert. The construction period is 450 days, expected to be completed in March 2025.

Thach Khoi sluice is responsible for supplying irrigation water for 3,760 hectares and draining water for 925 hectares of the basin in some communes and wards of Hai Duong city and Gia Loc district. The new sluice will contribute to the urban beautification of the southern gateway area of ​​Hai Duong city; at the same time, strengthen the prevention of encroachment on the protected area of ​​​​hydraulic works.

From the beginning of May 2024, Hai Duong Province Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. has started to block the Thach Khoi-Doan Thuong canal to create a construction site for the new Thach Khoi sluice.
