Training quality human resources to meet the needs of Hai Duong enterprises

On September 21, Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation visited and worked at Hai Duong Vocational College.

After inspecting some practical classes and facilities of the school, the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested Hai Duong Vocational College to carefully study the Project "Developing human resources to meet production and business requirements, contributing to building Hai Duong into a modern industrial province by 2030" to have appropriate development orientation. Clearly aware of its role in implementing the project.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee emphasized that in order to attract more businesses, especially large businesses, to invest in Hai Duong, in addition to other factors, human resources play a very important role.

In the coming time, Hai Duong Vocational College needs to approach advanced training programs; attract teachers and lecturers with good qualifications, good vocational skills, and rich experience. Build an attractive vocational learning environment to attract more and more students. The school closely coordinates with enterprises, production and business establishments to both supply human resources and create an environment for students to practice and have good job opportunities after graduation.

Regarding the school’s proposals on investment in renovation and construction of facilities to serve teaching and learning, comrade Le Van Hieu requested relevant departments, agencies and sectors to study plans to support training costs and renovate facilities in accordance with regulations. Any degraded facilities need to be renovated and repaired immediately so as not to affect the vocational training process. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs should study and survey the labor needs of enterprises so that vocational schools can connect and supply.

Hai Duong Vocational College currently has 15 training majors, including 8 college majors and 7 intermediate majors according to the approval and training license decision of the General Department of Vocational Education. In 2000, the school took over the old facility of Nam Thanh District People's Committee. After 20 years, the school has built a number of practice workshops, theory buildings... Currently, some construction items have seriously degraded such as the 2-storey theory building of Building B, the 3-storey practice workshop of Building C. The school yard is nearly 1m lower than the road, often flooded... not ensuring teaching, learning and living conditions for staff, lecturers and students.

The rate of students having jobs after graduation of the school is 90%. The training majors and professions with high rate of students having jobs after graduation are mechatronics, industrial electricity, industrial electronics, fashion sewing, metal cutting, welding, etc.
