According to the reporter's source, coach Philippe Troussier included Filip Nguyen in the preliminary list of 50 players of the Vietnamese team attending the 2023 Asian Cup.
The deadline for participating teams to submit their rosters to the host country Qatar is December 12. Filip Nguyen obtained Vietnamese nationality a few days earlier. The goalkeeper, born in 1992, meets the nationality requirements of players registered to compete.
