Professional Captain Tran Van Xuan, a clerical-security officer of the Thanh Ha District Military Command (Hai Duong), is always diligent, dedicated, proactive in overcoming difficulties and completing his tasks well.
Born in 1985 in Thanh Ha, since his school days, Tran Van Xuan has always admired the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" and dreamed of becoming a soldier.
In 2004, after graduating from high school, Mr. Xuan registered and enlisted in Battalion 38, General Staff, Military Region 3. In 2018, he was transferred to work at the Thanh Ha District Military Command. Working in his hometown, Mr. Xuan always determined that this was both an honor and a responsibility of a soldier in the cause of building and protecting his homeland.
When he first started working at the Thanh Ha District Military Command, Mr. Xuan was assigned to the training department. Although he was still worried about the job, with the help of his senior comrades and the encouragement and enthusiastic guidance of commanders at all levels, Mr. Xuan made efforts to learn and research documents to meet the requirements of the job. Captain Xuan advised the Party Committee and commanders to perform well the combat staff work, and was highly appreciated by commanders at all levels.
In 2018, the Hai Duong Provincial Military Command organized a mapping of martyrs' graves. To complete the assigned task, Mr. Xuan went to each house and location with information on martyrs' graves to measure and mark on the map and in the field. From there, the system was completed for martyrs' graves managed by families as well as graves that have not been collected. Thereby, the records of the management and collection of martyrs' remains of the District Military Command were complete and accurate, contributing to the smooth collection of martyrs' remains.
In 2020, due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic, Mr. Xuan was assigned to perform duties in the province's quarantine area at Regiment 125.
Working in harsh weather conditions, with inadequate accommodation, complicated epidemics, and strict duty regimes, Captain Xuan and his teammates overcame difficulties and challenges, successfully completed assigned tasks, and pushed back the epidemic.
Captain Xuan said: “At that time, my family faced many difficulties when I was the breadwinner and my children were still young. Both parents were old, and my husband and I were not well off financially. I determined that this was an important task, related to the honor of the unit, the army, and the success of the country's fight against the epidemic, so I tried to overcome it.”
In 2021, Mr. Xuan was sent to study the Document - Archive class at the Military University of Culture and Arts and completed his study task excellently. In February 2023, after completing his study, he was assigned to perform Document - Archive work of the Thanh Ha District Military Command. He always tries to complete the assigned tasks well.

Thanks to his outstanding achievements, in 2019 - 2020, Mr. Xuan was awarded the title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level. In 2021, he received a certificate of merit from the Minister of National Defense and in 2024, he was awarded a certificate of merit by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. At the Emulation Congress of Thanh Ha District Armed Forces held in May 2024, Mr. Xuan was one of 7 outstanding individuals to receive a certificate of merit from the Chairman of the District People's Committee.
