Hanoi University of Science and Technology establishes two new schools

Thus, along with three schools of Mechanics, Electricity - Electronics, Information Technology and Communications, Hanoi University of Science and Technology currently has five schools, established under the Law amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Law on Higher Education (Law No. 34/2018).

The School of Materials - Hanoi University of Science and Technology was established on the basis of merging the following units: Institute of Materials Science and Engineering; Institute of Textile - Footwear and Fashion; International Training Institute for Materials Science (ITIMS), Center for Polymer and Composite Materials Research and Department of Printing Technology.

The School of Materials trains undergraduate and postgraduate majors related to traditional materials and new materials, meeting the human resource needs of all industrial fields. Specifically, engineering, material manufacturing technology, advanced materials and nanostructures from raw materials to smelting, machining, non-ferrous alloys and surface treatment, electronic materials science, microelectronics engineering and nanotechnology...

The main research subjects of the School of Materials - Hanoi University of Science and Technology - include: metallic and non-metallic materials, electronic and photonic materials, composite materials, biomedical materials, energy materials, nanomaterials...

School of Chemistry and Life Sciences - Hanoi University of Science and Technology was established on the basis of merging 4 institutes: Institute of Chemical Engineering, Institute of Biotechnology & Food Technology, Institute of Environmental Science and Technology, Institute of Research and Development of Application of Natural Compounds.

The School of Chemistry and Life Sciences trains in the following majors: chemistry, chemical engineering, pharmaceutical engineering, bioengineering, food engineering, environmental engineering, and resource and environmental management. These majors are closely related in terms of basic knowledge, belonging to the main fields of science, technology and engineering, and are sustainable.

Hanoi University of Science and Technology was established in 1956 and is the first technical university in Vietnam. In December 2022, Hanoi University of Science and Technology was transformed into Hanoi University of Science and Technology.
