World's oldest man says longevity is 'just luck'

When sharing about the issue of longevity, 111-year-old John Tinniswood said: "You can live a long life or you can't live a long life, and there's nothing you can do to change that."

The world's oldest man - 111-year-old British man John Tinniswood recently shared interesting things when asked about the secret to living a long and healthy life. He said his longevity is "just luck."

Mr Tinniswood said he had no secret when it came to his diet.

However, his favorite food is fish and chips, and he usually eats this every Friday.

When sharing about the issue of longevity, he said: "You can live a long life or not, and there is nothing you can do to change this."

Mr Tinniswood has been recognised by Guinness World Records as the world's oldest man after 114-year-old Juan Vicente Perez Mora from Venezuela died earlier this week.

Born in 1912 in Merseyside, England, Mr Tinniswood is now 111 years and 222 days old.

He was an accountant and postal service worker and has been retired for more than half a century.
