Hai Duong Rural Water and Sanitation Joint Stock Company is providing stable clean water to 52 communes and wards of 12 districts and towns in the province. Currently, the company directly manages and supplies water to nearly 100,300 customers in 47 communes and wholesales through the main meter to over 9,000 customers in 5 communes. The company currently has 320 officers, workers and laborers working in 8 clean water business clusters and 6 specialized departments in the office area.

Last year, the company proactively overcame all difficulties to strive to complete its tasks well. Although input costs such as electricity, chemicals, minimum wages, exploitation rights fees, and water quality monitoring compliance fees have increased many times, the company has kept clean water prices stable for nearly ten years. In 2023, many localities in the province continued to build new rural roads, so the company had to increase costs for materials and labor to move water pipes. Unexpected power outages still occur, affecting the production and business activities of the unit.

However, with the timely attention and direction of the Provincial People's Committee, the active coordination and support of departments, branches, localities and the continuous efforts of the leadership and all staff, employees and workers, the company has overcome all difficulties, exceeding the goals and plans for 2023. Units in the company proactively performed well the assigned tasks, many clusters and factories completed higher than the same period and exceeded the plan, contributing to the company's production and business results in the past year.

The company's production and business results in 2023 achieved high growth. All targets were completed and exceeded the plan. Of which, output reached more than 17.1 million m3, exceeding the plan by nearly 4% and compared to the previous year. Commercial water output was more than 14.2 million m3, exceeding 4.6%, up nearly 6%. Water loss rate remained at 16.9%, down 0.6% of the plan, down 1.6% compared to 2022. Total revenue and profit before tax; taxes and fees paid to the state budget all exceeded the plan and increased compared to 2022.

Along with completing the set targets, the company always cares about the quality of services and clean water provided to the people. Last year, the functional units took about 400 water samples for testing. The results showed that 100% of the samples met the quality standards according to regulations. The factories have complied with the correct quality management process, using less chemicals than before. The company has overcome the problem of weak or lacking water in some areas.

The company continues to effectively apply CityWord software to close customers' monthly water usage by mobile phone, and manage assets by software. Effectively use online water pressure monitoring cameras at pressure meter installation points, promptly serving daily water supply operations. Strengthen guidance for customers to pay for water without cash. Currently, the company has about 17,000 customers using bank transfers, an increase of more than 72% compared to 2022.

Continue to improve service quality

Along with production and business tasks, last year the company focused on investing and renovating many projects to improve capacity, transmission capacity, water quality and water supply services. Typically, the installation of additional distribution and transmission pipelines in Kim Thanh district, Hai Duong city, Tu Ky, Kinh Mon town belonging to the Water Plants: Kim Xuyen, Quyet Thang, Quang Nghiep, Thang Long. Renovation and replacement of service pipes for many areas. Adding a 400 m³ water tank to Kim Xuyen Clean Water Plant. Installing total zoning meters for many factories. Replacing and upgrading suction pipes at many pumping stations of Kim Xuyen Water Plant; installing lightning protection systems for factories... The investment cost for implementing the projects is about 9 billion VND.

From December 1, 2023, the company has been temporarily assigned by the Provincial People's Committee to manage, operate and exploit the rural domestic water supply project in An Phuong commune (Thanh Ha). Immediately after receiving the project, the company organized the management, operation and exploitation of the project to ensure uninterrupted water supply, which was supported by the local authorities and people. In the coming time, the company will overcome some damages and incidents that occurred during the operation and exploitation period; review, evaluate the quality and propose plans to renovate and upgrade project items to ensure the task of supplying water to the people.

In early November 2023, the Provincial People's Committee announced and handed over the decision to appoint representatives of State capital at Hai Duong Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company. Accordingly, there are 3 people appointed to represent State capital at the company, including Mr. Dang Duc Thanh, in charge of the Board of Directors, Director of Hai Duong Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company, term 2018 - 2023, who represents 40% of State capital at the enterprise; Nguyen Ba Quyet, Deputy Director of Hai Duong Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company, term 2018 - 2023, holding 30% of State capital at the company and Dao Van Manh, Deputy Director of Hai Duong Clean Water and Rural Sanitation Joint Stock Company, term 2018 - 2023, holding 30% of State capital.
