BoViet Company proposes to invest 120 million USD project in Cong Hoa Industrial Park

At the regular meeting of the Provincial People's Committee in November (first time), Comrade Luu Van Ban, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee concluded and agreed with the report and request for investment policy from the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board for the foreign investment project with a total registered investment of 120 million USD with a plating stage in Cong Hoa Industrial Park (Chi Linh).

According to the report of the Provincial Industrial Parks Management Board, BoViet Solar Energy Science and Technology Company Limited (BoViet Company) in Bac Giang province proposed to implement the project in Cong Hoa Industrial Park, Cong Hoa Ward (Chi Linh City). The company proposed to invest in the Boviet Hai Duong solar photovoltaic cell factory. The project's objective is to produce other electrical equipment. The scale of production of photovoltaic cells and solar energy conversion modules is 3 GW/year. The land area used is 200,000 m². The total investment capital of the project is 2,820 billion VND (equivalent to 120 million USD). The project's operation period is from the date of issuance of the investment registration certificate to April 9, 2058.

The investor expects to complete the basic construction and put the project into operation within 18 months from the date of issuance of the investment registration certificate. The factory is expected to employ more than 1,000 workers, of which 1,000 will be Vietnamese.

Previously, in August 2023, Boway Group signed a land lease contract at Cong Hoa Industrial Park with the intention of investing a project of 350 million USD. However, due to some reasons, the company is currently only implementing phase 1 of the project.
