People can report negative vehicle inspection practices through the hotline number announced by the Vietnam Register to rectify motor vehicle inspection activities.
Statistics show that in the coming time, the demand for vehicle inspection of people in some localities across the country will be higher than the capacity of the Inspection Centers. This raises concerns that negative behaviors will recur such as: Providing services of queuing to get numbers or "brokers" to carry out vehicle inspection procedures,... causing insecurity, disorder and frustration for people and businesses.
In response to this issue, the Vietnam Register has announced a hotline number to receive feedback on registration activities nationwide.
Accordingly, when detecting the above situation, people can call the hotline of the Vietnam Register including: 024.37684702 or 0985961766 to report. The Vietnam Register will grasp the information and promptly handle it.
Assessing that new vehicles are exempted from first-time inspection but inspection centers still have to prepare vehicle records, a representative of an inspection center in Hanoi commented that in the context that the centers have to cut staff (especially professional staff) to maintain business operations due to financial difficulties, the large number of new vehicles also makes it difficult for inspection units to arrange human resources to respond promptly.
To avoid long waiting times when taking your vehicle for inspection, the Vietnam Register recommends that people proactively check, maintain, and repair any damage (if any) to their vehicle before going for inspection; register for an appointment in advance via the vehicle inspection appointment scheduling software.
When taking the vehicle for inspection, the vehicle owner also needs to prepare other contents in advance such as: Proactively looking up vehicle warnings in the "Motor vehicles for vehicle owners" section in the "Data lookup" section on the Vietnam Register's Electronic Information Portal to check the status of fines and proactively handle them before going to the Inspection Center.../.
