From today, February 1, vehicle, motorbike and scooter registration data will be widely shared after being connected to the shared database of the Ministry of Transport.
From 1.2, car and motorbike registration data information will be widely shared.
Specifically, shared vehicle information data includes: License plate, place of registration, brand, engine number, country and year of manufacture, number of people allowed to carry, permitted traffic weight, inspection date, inspection management number and some other data.
Information data for shared motorbikes includes: Origin (domestic or imported), certificate number (type certificate number for domestic vehicles or certificate number for imported vehicles), date of certificate issuance, year of manufacture, trade name, frame number, engine number, capacity, engine volume, etc.).
The shared registration data of specialized motorbikes, ships, water vehicles, and railway vehicles includes a collection of relevant information to identify the origin of the vehicle... helping authorities and vehicle owners to compare with the actual vehicle that needs to be identified.
This is one of the notable contents in Circular No. 28/2022 of the Ministry of Transport regulating the management, maintenance, sharing, and security of vehicle registration data. This Circular officially takes effect from February 1, 2023.
Thus, from today, February 1, vehicle registration data information including cars, motorbikes, motorcycles, specialized motorbikes, ships, water vehicles, and railway vehicles under the management of the Ministry of Transport will be connected to a shared database and shared with agencies, organizations, and legal owners and managers of vehicles.
The vehicle registration database is created by the registration unit, updated to the data system and integrated, connected and shared by the Vietnam Register into the shared database of the Ministry of Transport. Subjects provided and shared with registration data include: agencies serving State management; legal vehicle owners or managers; other organizations and individuals upon request.
Data is shared through the Ministry of Transport's data integration platform, directly connecting the management system and the data user, looking up online on the website of the Vietnam Register, providing information in writing.
Agencies, organizations and individuals who are connected to share vehicle inspection data are responsible for using and securing the data for the correct purposes and within the scope stated in the request for connection and data sharing. Without permission from the Vietnam Register, vehicle inspection data provided must not be shared with third parties.
Vehicle owners can access inspection data via the Vietnam Register's website (no need to provide an account or password); request the Vietnam Register or the inspection unit to provide information in written form (the request must clearly state the purpose of use and the vehicles that need to be shared), but must pay a fee according to regulations of the Ministry of Finance.
