Announcement of leaders of agencies of the National Assembly and State Audit

On the morning of July 21, the National Assembly elected important positions such as Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Council, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee, and State Auditor General by secret ballot.

On the morning of July 21, at the National Assembly House, the National Assembly Standing Committee reported the results of discussions at the Delegation and explained and accepted the opinions of National Assembly deputies on the expected personnel to elect the Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Assembly Council, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee, and State Auditor General.

Under the direction of Chairman of the 15th National Assembly Vuong Dinh Hue, the National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the list to elect the Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the Council of Nationalities, Chairman of the National Assembly Committees, and State Auditor General using an electronic voting system.

The National Assembly then discussed and voted to approve the list to elect these positions by secret ballot.

According to the vote counting results, 471/472 delegates present voted in favor, equal to 94.59% of the total number of National Assembly delegates, 1 delegate did not vote, equal to 0.2% of the total number of National Assembly delegates. The National Assembly passed the Resolution to elect comrade Tran Sy Thanh, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, to hold the position of State Auditor General.

475/475 delegates present voted in favor, equal to 95.19% of the total number of National Assembly delegates. The National Assembly passed the Resolution to elect comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc as Chairman of the Ethnic Council.

478/478 delegates present voted in favor, equal to 95.79% of the total number of National Assembly delegates. The National Assembly passed the Resolution to elect comrade Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, as Secretary General of the National Assembly.

Also in the morning, a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee reported the results of the approval of the personnel of the Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Council, Vice Chairman of the Committee, Standing Member and Full-time Member. Also in the morning, a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Secretary General of the National Assembly presented a Report on the proposed National Assembly Supervision Program for 2022; discussed the proposed National Assembly Supervision Program for 2022.

In the afternoon session, the National Assembly listened to a member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee for Law present a report on the proposed Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2022 and adjustments to the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2021. On the afternoon of July 20, the National Assembly Standing Committee presented a list of nominees for the National Assembly to elect the Secretary General of the National Assembly, Chairman of the National Council for Ethnic Minorities, Chairman of the National Assembly Committee, and State Auditor General. Of these, three new faces were introduced for the first time, including comrade Y Thanh Ha Nie Kdam, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Enterprises Bloc, nominated for the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Ethnic Minorities Council, replacing comrade Ha Ngoc Chien. Comrade Nguyen Phu Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee, was nominated for election as Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee. Major General Le Tan Toi, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Public Security, was nominated for the position of Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, replacing comrade Vo Trong Viet.

The other 8 personnel on the list who have just been elected as members of the Standing Committee of the 15th National Assembly, who are currently holding the positions of Chairmen of the National Assembly Committees, will continue to be recommended to hold this position in the new term. Specifically, the comrades are: Bui Van Cuong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary General of the National Assembly, Head of the National Assembly Office; Hoang Thanh Tung, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Law Committee of the National Assembly; Le Thi Nga, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Judicial Committee of the National Assembly; Vu Hong Thanh, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Economic Committee of the National Assembly; Nguyen Dac Vinh, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Culture and Education Committee of the National Assembly; Nguyen Thuy Anh, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Social Committee of the National Assembly; Le Quang Huy, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Science, Technology and Environment Committee of the National Assembly; Vu Hai Ha, member of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National Assembly. For the position of State Auditor General, comrade Tran Sy Thanh continues to be nominated for this position. The positions of Head of the Delegation Affairs Committee and Head of the People's Petition Committee of the National Assembly Standing Committee (currently held by comrade Nguyen Thi Thanh and comrade Duong Thanh Binh) will be assigned by the 15th National Assembly Standing Committee.
