Police investigate case of private nanny beating child in Tien Giang

On April 2, Secretary of Tan Phuoc District Party Committee (Tien Giang) Doan Van Tuan confirmed that a child abuse case had just occurred in the district, causing public outrage and directed the authorities to strictly handle the case according to the law.

Accordingly, on the evening of April 1, the authorities received information about this abuse case spreading on social networks.

Immediately afterwards, the leaders of Tan Phuoc District Party Committee directed the Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee to coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and local police in the area to review and determine that the incident occurred near Long Giang Industrial Park in Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District.

Initially, the authorities noted that the nanny was lying down and surfing the phone in the area where children over 1 year old were sleeping. Suddenly, the nanny turned around and used her hands to repeatedly hit a little girl on the head and face, despite the child crying.

Security cameras also clearly recorded the sounds of hitting and loud crying of the little girl.

According to security camera footage, the nanny also threw a pillow, causing a boy sitting nearby to fall backwards onto the edge of the mattress.

According to authorities, the abused child was taken back to his hometown in Binh Phuoc province by his mother.

Mr. Doan Van Tuan added that the district's viewpoint is to handle the case thoroughly. If there is enough evidence, the police will initiate a criminal case and handle it strictly according to the law. If there is not enough evidence to handle the case, the competent authority will inspect and if there is a license, the license will be revoked, if there is no license, the operation will be banned completely.
