Clarifying suspicions of a group of abused boys in Hung Yen

Photos of a boy suspected of being abused are circulating on social media. The photos show the boy with multiple bruises on his buttocks, legs, thighs and ribs.

According to the person who posted the photo, the child is a 6th grader in Vinh Khuc commune, Van Giang district (Hung Yen). After the photo was posted, many people expressed outrage at the child abuse; asking the family to report the incident to the authorities for consideration and handling.

Regarding this information, talking with Mr. Luong Dinh Quyen, Chairman of Vinh Khuc Commune People's Committee (Van Giang), it was learned that the incident occurred on March 10 in the commune.

Initially, the Commune People's Committee grasped the matter as follows: Mr. Dao Van Tu, born in 1988, in Cau village (Vinh Khuc commune), received a report that his son, Dao Hong M., born in 2013; and M.'s classmates: Do Van L., born in 2012, Nguyen Tien D., born in 2013; Nguyen Huy N., born in 2013, all students of Vinh Khuc Commune Secondary School, used tobacco.

After that, Mr. Tu asked the children mentioned above to come to his Karaoke establishment located in Dong Khuc village (Vinh Khuc) to question them and used plastic pipes to beat them with the purpose of deterring them from using tobacco.

Also according to the Chairman of Vinh Khuc Commune People's Committee, immediately after the incident occurred, the commune assigned officials to visit the children's families; the commune found that the children's health was basically normal; the children still went to school.

Currently, Vinh Khuc Commune People's Committee has directed the Commune Police to collect more information to clarify the case according to regulations.
