What opportunities are there for new recruits in the Vietnam team?

In V.League 2023, Van Phong played 19/20 matches for Viettel. With the stability that the goalkeeper from Thai Binh brought throughout the 2023 season, he deserves a place in the national team. Duc Chien and Van Hao have just had a successful season with Viettel. Duc Chien has contributed 7 goals in 16 appearances for the army team. Like Duc Chien, Van Hao is also a versatile player who can play in many positions. At Viettel, the player from Thai Binh used to play as a full-back, attacking midfielder, and even a winger. This season, Duong Van Hao has played 19 times for Viettel, scoring 2 goals and providing 3 assists. Although he was not rated too highly before this training session, coach Philippe Troussier certainly has a reason to include Duong Van Hao in the training list.

In the striker position, coach Philippe Troussier only called up one new player. The name that caught the French coach's eye was Vu Quang Nam, a striker currently playing for Hong Linh Ha Tinh Club.
