The aid was transported by the Jordanian army on a C130 transport plane to Lebanon to help those in need. This is the second shipment after the first aid sent to Lebanon on September 18, including about 8 tons of goods, medical supplies and food.

Jordan's aid comes as Israel has stepped up large-scale airstrikes on Lebanese territory since September 23, marking the most intense military campaign in the region since 2006.

Meanwhile, according to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, at least 105 people were killed and 359 others were injured in Israeli airstrikes on the country's territory on September 29.

Faced with escalating tensions between Hezbollah and Israel, many residents of Lebanon's capital Beirut said they hoped for a political solution and believed the current conflict could not last forever.
