Hai Hung Registration Department has a serious shortage of inspectors, work is congested.

On July 17, speaking with a reporter from Hai Duong Newspaper, the leader of Hai Hung Vehicle Inspection Department said that due to lack of personnel, work was congested and the inspection of water transport vehicles still encountered many difficulties.

Recently, many inspectors of Hai Hung Inspection Department were arrested and prosecuted to serve the investigation, leading to a shortage of personnel for inland waterway vehicle inspection. Currently, the department only has 3 inspectors, including 2 inspectors specializing in ship hulls and 1 inspector specializing in ship engines, with no first-class inspectors.

Although the workload is the same as every year, the serious shortage of inspectors to operate inland waterway vehicle inspection activities has led to a backlog of work. Some inspectors have been prosecuted but are on bail and working at the agency, but the department cannot assign these people to undertake professional tasks.

Currently, each month Hai Hung Inspection Department inspects an average of 30-40 inland waterway vehicles, inspection productivity has decreased by 60% compared to before.
