Upon receiving the news, the fire department immediately went to the scene and used fire extinguishers and fire trucks to continuously spray fire on the first floor, bringing 3 people out of the fire, while 2 children on the third floor died of suffocation.
On the night of October 10 and early morning of October 11, a serious fire broke out at house number 31 (lane 236, Tran Cao Van street, Thanh Khe district, Da Nang city).
According to local residents, the fire broke out at around 1 a.m. on October 11. While it was raining heavily, some nearby households smelled a burning smell, discovered the fire, and called the Fire Prevention and Fighting Force.
Upon receiving the news, Tam Thuan Ward Police and the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Force (Thanh Khe District Police) arrived at the scene. After more than 1 hour of urgently extinguishing the fire and performing rescue, at about 3 o'clock the same day, the fire was extinguished.
Rescuers helped bring three people out safely, including Le Tran Tuan D. (born in 1988), Le Thi Kim N. (born in 1987), and Tran Le Gia K. (born in 2014). Two children, Tran Minh Gia D. (born in 2009) and Nguyen Le Thai T. (born in 2011), died of smoke inhalation on the third floor.
Authorities have blocked off the scene to investigate, examine, find out the cause and estimate the damage of the fire.
