The ongoing streamlining revolution is making many cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers worried, especially those working in agencies that are subject to restructuring and merger.

Worried that when the staff is downsized and the number of employees is reduced, will I be subject to downsizing? Worried that when the agency is merged and the organization is restructured, will I work with new colleagues, possibly a new boss, will we be able to get along as well as in the old agency? Will my job position and income be reduced?

Such concerns are understandable because any change will affect those involved. As General Secretary To Lam said, in a revolution, there must be people willing to sacrifice personal interests.

My friends in the provinces also called to ask how my office was doing. I told them to rest assured that no matter what, we would continue to work normally and not let our common work be interrupted. In any situation, I believe that when one door closes, another will open. Whether the future is brighter or darker depends largely on the will and effort of each person.

Life is constantly moving, requiring everyone to learn how to adapt to change. There are periods when this policy is correct, but in the later stages, the development of the economy, society, and technology shows that the old way of doing things is no longer suitable, and it is inevitable that changes must be made to meet the development requirements of the new stage. Lenin once said: "Advantages that last too long become disadvantages." If we keep thinking that in the past, the apparatus was also merged, separated, the team, and the work structure were still fine, and if we do not adapt to innovation, sooner or later we will fall behind.

I say this because in my office, reality shows that those who are slow to change are the ones who are easily left behind. To give staff and employees the opportunity to “renew” themselves, we regularly rotate and change positions. That way, a person can get acquainted with many jobs, know many things, and many fields.

Even when doing the same job, we also have to regularly attend professional training classes to improve our skills and keep up with development trends.

It is clear that the revolutionary changes of the streamlining process are an opportunity to train and screen cadres. When everyone determines that they can be replaced at any time if they do not do well, they will have to try harder to stay in the job or have to find a new, more suitable job.

Returning to the story of streamlining the apparatus, with the spirit of "running while lining up", there can be no more delay, implementing with the determination to do things that benefit the country and the people, the first important issue is to do a good job of ideological work.

When officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers have their rights affected by the streamlining of the apparatus, it is necessary to help them understand the meaning of this revolution. Along with ensuring the regime for officials subject to streamlining and those who lose their jobs, it is necessary to build a mechanism to screen officials in an objective and scientific manner, ensuring that those who stay are good at their jobs, have a high sense of responsibility, and are ready to contribute to the people and the country.

Willingness to adapt to progressive changes is a necessary quality, not only for cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in state agencies but also for workers in the private sector.

Change to grow is the thing to do.
