This is the third time Cam Giang district has implemented this model.
The watermelon growing area of Ngoc Lien commune has been planned to expand to nearly 50 hectares.
Cam Giang district currently has 11 out of 17 communes and towns implementing the land accumulation model with a scale of 3 hectares or more. The goal is to innovate production organization and rural economic development, increasing people's income.
This is the third crop that Cam Giang district has implemented this model. To date, the locality has 38 models of land accumulation, specialized cultivation, and high-intensity cultivation, creating concentrated commodity production areas with a total area of 194 hectares. In addition, Ngoc Lien commune has also built a safe watermelon production area according to VietGAP standards in the 2022 summer-autumn crop, with more than 30 hectares.
Thanks to land accumulation, this winter-spring crop, the whole district has 120 hectares of rice transplanted by machine and over 130 hectares of rice sprayed with pesticides by drones.
