Cam Giang district has 4 more communes including Ngoc Lien, Cam Hung, Luong Dien and Tan Truong that are eligible for recognition as model new rural communes.

Ngoc Lien commune has a watermelon growing area of ​​over 20 hectares, which is cared for, harvested, and preserved according to the OCOP process. The products are labeled with traceability stamps and have high economic value (documentary photo).

Cam Giang district has just had 4 more communes including Ngoc Lien, Cam Hung, Luong Dien and Tan Truong that are eligible to be recognized as model new rural communes in 2024.

All four communes have been recognized as advanced new rural communes and have basically completed the criteria for model new rural communes. The average income per capita of the communes is from 79 to 84 million VND/person/year. The multidimensional poverty rate is below 1%.

All communes have built at least one smart village model. At the time of the audit, all four communes had no debt for basic construction.

There are 3 communes including Ngoc Lien, Cam Hung and Luong Dien choosing the outstanding field of production. Tan Truong commune in particular chooses the outstanding field of culture.

Cam Giang is the leading locality in the province’s new rural construction movement. The district has 12 out of 13 communes that have met advanced new rural standards. Of these, 6 communes including Duc Chinh, Cao An, Cam Dong, Cam Van, Cam Doai, and Dinh Son have been recognized as model new rural communes.
