The Ministry of Education and Training has just given special attention to universities about strictly complying with regulations in enrollment in 2024.
In the 2024 university admission guidelines just sent to training institutions (universities), the Ministry of Education and Training especially noted some important contents for schools so that the admission process takes place smoothly, in accordance with regulations, and ensures the rights of candidates.
After the high school graduation exam results are available, schools will adjust and publicize the scores for receiving application files with different admission combinations on the school's website and update it into the system.
For teacher training majors and majors in the health sector that issue practice certificates, schools that use high school exam scores for admission must update the admission threshold no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 22.
The Ministry requires that the adjustment of the enrollment plan must comply with regulations and not affect the rights of candidates who have registered for admission to the school (for example: the database opens new majors; the number of candidates registering is lower than the expected quota for some majors, so it is necessary to adjust the surplus quota for similar majors in the group of majors...)
The application of the regulations on priority points for all admission methods is in accordance with the regulations of the admission regulations. The Ministry notes that candidates are not required to register their first choice on the system before being considered for admission (except for candidates applying for admission to police and military schools).
Regarding early admission registration, the ministry requires schools to update the list of candidates eligible for early admission to the system no later than 5:00 p.m. on July 10.
Early admission is only considered for methods that do not use the 2024 high school graduation exam results (in case the admission method uses the 2024 high school graduation exam scores, admission will be conducted according to the general plan).
Notify candidates who meet the admission requirements (except for high school graduation requirements) so that candidates have sufficient information and are proactive in registering their admission wishes on the system; absolutely do not re-examine (increase or decrease the admission score) to eliminate or add candidates.
According to regulations, all early admitted candidates must be uploaded to the system for processing if they register for admission.
The Ministry of Education and Training especially notes that schools are not allowed to request or agree with candidates to commit to or confirm early admission in any form (paying deposit fees, keeping records...).
Schools must require all candidates to confirm their admission online on the system, before enrolling at the school.
Candidates must not be required to confirm admission or enroll before August 19 and must not complete confirmation of admission or enrollment before 5:00 p.m. on August 27 (including for joint training programs with foreign countries).
