The Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Mien District (Hai Duong) has decided to fine an individual 31 million VND for trading in fake sanitary napkins and fake correction pens.
On November 29, 2024, Thanh Mien District Police discovered that the business of Mr. Tran Van Thuong (born in 1972) in Pham Lam village, Doan Tung commune (Thanh Mien) was trading 960 packages of fake Diana brand sanitary napkins and 250 fake Thien Long brand correction pens. The total value of these fake goods was over 25 million VND (calculated according to the value of genuine goods).
According to Decree No. 98/2020/ND-CP dated August 26, 2020 of the Government regulating administrative sanctions for violations in commercial activities, production, trading of counterfeit and prohibited goods and protection of consumer rights, Mr. Thuong was fined 31 million VND. All counterfeit goods were destroyed by the authorities according to regulations.
Previously, on July 26, 2024, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Dat (born in 1968) in Doan Tung commune was also fined 12 million VND for trading more than 900 packages of fake quality sanitary napkins and Diana brand.
