At the meeting on the afternoon of May 23, the People's Committee of Hai Duong province unanimously approved the content of land recovery, allowing the change of purpose of use of 5,800 m2 from rice-growing land (additional) to implement the commercial center project in Hai Duong city.
At the meeting, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment reported on the additional area of land use conversion for rice cultivation in Hai Duong city to implement the commercial center project in the area east of Vo Nguyen Giap Avenue.
This project has a total area of 37,246 m2, including 30,962 m2 of rice land. The Provincial People's Council has allowed the conversion of the purpose of 25,162 m2 of rice land in Resolution No. 38/NQ-HDND dated July 13, 2023.
According to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, Lien Hong and Thach Khoi communes (Hai Duong city) made mistakes in determining the area of rice land conversion in the total area of the project.
To have sufficient basis to implement land procedures according to regulations, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment proposed that the Provincial People's Committee submit to the Provincial People's Council for additional approval to allow the conversion of the purpose of 5,800 m2 of rice-growing land.
Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Luu Van Ban agreed with the content of the report. He requested the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to complete the report of the Provincial People's Committee to submit to the Provincial People's Council.
