The Department of Training, Ministry of Public Security informed that the reference test has the same structure as the official assessment test, including two multiple choice and essay parts, to be done in 180 minutes, similar to last year.

Candidates choose one of two exam codes: CA1 and CA2. The multiple choice part of the two codes is the same, while the essay part of CA1 is Math, and CA2 is Literature.

In 2024, the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam will take place on July 6 and 7. Candidates taking the Ministry of Public Security's assessment exam will choose one of two exam codes: CA1 (multiple choice and essay math) or CA2 (multiple choice and essay literature).

Regarding admission methods, police schools recruit according to three methods:

Method 1: Direct admission according to current admission regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and regulations of the Ministry of Public Security.

Method 2: Direct admission combining international language certificates with high school academic results.

Method 3: Combine the 2024 high school graduation exam results with the assessment test results of the Ministry of Public Security.

Candidates who register for admission to a school will take the exam at that school. The score of this exam is combined with the high school graduation exam score at a ratio of 60-40 and converted to a 30-point scale for admission. About 80% of the total of more than 2,100 quotas for police schools this year are considered for admission in this way.

The formula for calculating admission scores to police schools is as follows: Admission score = Total score of three graduation exam subjects *2/5 + Assessment test score *3/5 + Priority points according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training + Bonus points for excellent students at the national level.

In addition, police schools recruit directly according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and the regulations of the Ministry of Public Security, considering a combination of foreign language certificates and high school academic results.

Regarding the quota, the People's Police Academy recruits the most students (530 students), followed by the People's Security Academy (510). The International Academy recruits the least, only 50 students.

The International Academy has the lowest enrollment of 50 students in English and Chinese language majors.

Last year, the benchmark scores for police schools ranged from 14.01 to 24.94 points.
