Recently, the Ministry of Public Security has put into use the VNeTraffic application - Vietnam Smart Traffic. In this application, people can look up traffic violations; report (traffic violations, traffic jams, traffic accidents); and information on vehicle license plate auctions.
To send feedback, people need to enter the correct type of feedback, information about the incident, province/city and location of the incident.
Citizens also need to enter the content of the incident along with pictures or videos. Authorities recommend that citizens use the Vietnamese language; provide honest and objective reports of incidents. The police will ensure confidentiality of the informant's information.
On the iHanoi app, people can also send feedback and suggestions related to many areas, including traffic. Authorities will also respond to people's feedback and suggestions through the app.

On the Traffic Police Department's electronic information portal, the phone numbers of the Department and the Police of 63 provinces/cities are publicly posted. People can provide information and feedback directly through these phone numbers.
In addition, the Traffic Police Department also has a hotline 19008099 to receive information from people about traffic safety and order on highways. People can report traffic safety and order, traffic accidents or need support to handle incidents that arise when traveling on highways.

Decree 176/2024 of the Government stipulates that the level of support for providing information reflecting violations of traffic order and safety in one case shall not exceed 10% of the amount of the fine for the violation.
Article 7 of this Decree stipulates that the level of support for individuals and organizations providing information reflecting administrative violations of traffic order and safety in a case shall not exceed 10% of the amount of administrative fine, up to a maximum of VND 5 million/case.
Payment of support costs to informants must have full documentation as prescribed, and the competent authority will keep the identity of the informant confidential.
