Hai Duong Newspaper won the national press award for developing culture, sports and tourism.

The first National Press Awards Ceremony "For the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism" took place on the evening of September 13 in Hanoi.

The work "The Road to Vietnamese Examinations" - Untapped Potential by The Anh, Thanh Chung, Tuan Anh, Hai Duong Newspaper won the consolation prize.

The work has many attractive images and information, reflecting that Hai Duong has a dense density of relics with many historical, cultural and scenic sediments. Among them, there is a series of relics associated with the history of mandarinate and education of the East in particular and Vietnam in general, which is rare in other places.

Through the introduction of 5 unique relics in Hai Duong such as the temple of teacher Chu Van An, the temple of female doctor Nguyen Thi Due (both in Chi Linh), the temple of Mac Dinh Chi (Nam Sach), Mao Dien Temple of Literature (Cam Giang), and the relic of Mo Trach communal house and temple (Binh Giang), it shows that the above relics are unique tourism products of Hai Duong but have not been properly exploited.

Pointing out the limitations in exploiting tourism "The Vietnamese path of examinations", the group of authors also discussed solutions to effectively promote this unique tourism product. This is also important content to help Hai Duong implement the Project "Developing high-quality tourism in Hai Duong province in the period of 2021-2030, vision to 2050".

This is the first time the National Press Award "For the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism" has been organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to celebrate the 78th anniversary of the Cultural Sector's Traditional Day (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2023).

The National Press Award “For the cause of developing culture, sports and tourism” aims to introduce and promote the results and achievements of culture, sports, tourism and family work. At the same time, discover advanced models in the industry; encourage and motivate cadres of the whole industry to join hands and continue to contribute more to the cause of developing culture, sports, tourism and family.

This is also an opportunity for journalists, reporters and editors to exchange professional and technical experiences, contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of information and press activities in the fields of culture, sports, tourism and family.

The award is given to authors, groups of authors, and excellent journalistic works that reflect real people and real events; accurately and promptly discover and reflect positive, typical, advanced collectives and individuals; criticize bad habits and vices in society... with one of the key contents: implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress into life; realizing the Directives and Resolutions of the Central Committee and Party Committees at all levels; the role and importance of culture in the country's socio-economic development; the current status of mechanisms and policies in the fields of culture, sports, tourism, family, and solutions for improvement.

Previously, at the 17th National Press Awards 2022 held on June 21, 2023, Hai Duong Newspaper had 1 work winning the consolation prize, 1 work entering the final round.
