On July 12, the Australian Government announced the largest military aid package for Ukraine worth about 250 million USD.
According to the Australian Department of Defense, the support package includes air defense missiles, air-to-ground weapons, anti-tank weapons, as well as artillery shells, mortars, cannons and small arms.
The aid package brings Australia's total military aid to Ukraine to more than $1.1 billion.
A day earlier, the Ukrainian President's Office said that Ukraine and Romania had signed a 10-year security agreement, bringing the total number of long-term bilateral cooperation agreements that Kiev has signed with countries and regions to 23.
The Ukrainian side's statement said the agreement has a similar framework but different content than the previous agreement. Ukraine said the special feature of the agreement with Romania is the specific content regulating cooperation activities to enhance security in the Black Sea region, such as mine clearance activities.
In addition, the agreement also includes Romania's contribution to training Ukrainian pilots to fly F-16 jets.
