84 years, Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee is growing stronger and stronger

On June 10, 1940, the Conference to establish the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee took place at the house of Le Thi Thanh, Ta Xa village, now Hop Tien commune (Nam Sach). Inter-province B appointed the provisional Provincial Party Committee consisting of comrades: Nguyen Manh Hoan, Chu Thi Kim Son and Nguyen Tan Phuc. Comrade Nguyen Manh Hoan was appointed as Secretary. This event marked the birth of the Provincial Party Committee and opened a new turning point for the revolutionary movement in Hai Duong.

Over the past 84 years, since its establishment, with 17 Congresses, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has continuously developed and matured. From 3 members of the Provisional Provincial Party Committee with 14 party members, then developed into 50 party members (during the August Revolution in 1945), to date, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has 15 grassroots party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee; there are 640 grassroots party organizations with over 109,000 party members.

In order to build and develop the Party, in recent years, especially since the beginning of the term, Hai Duong has taken many drastic and specific measures to overcome difficulties in developing Party organizations and Party members. The Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee clearly assigned annual targets to the District Party Committees, Town Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee. All units have proactively developed plans and set out specific targets, tasks, and solutions to carry out the work of developing Party members annually and throughout the term. The work of developing Party organizations in non-state enterprises, recruiting Party members who are students and in rural areas has been given attention. In 2023 alone, the whole province developed 12 Party organizations in private enterprises; recruited 2,290 Party members, exceeding 4% of the target according to the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress.

Along with Party development, Hai Duong has paid special attention to Party rectification and building and the political system. In recent years, the Provincial Party Standing Committee has directed the timely concretization of the Central Committee's conclusions, focusing on implementing Resolution No. 04-NQ/TW dated October 30, 2016 of the Central Committee (12th tenure) on strengthening Party building and rectification; preventing and repelling the degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the Party and Conclusion No. 21-KL/TW dated October 25, 2021 of the Central Committee on promoting Party building and rectification and the political system; resolutely preventing, repelling and strictly handling cadres and Party members with degradation of political ideology, morality, lifestyle, manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation". All violating groups and individuals will be strictly handled and disciplined according to regulations.

Under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee, Hai Duong's homeland has increasingly developed and achieved proud achievements. Up to now, Hai Duong's economy has continuously had good growth steps. The economic structure has shifted towards increasing the proportion of industry and services. The scale of the economy is increasingly large, the province currently ranks 11th out of 63 provinces and cities nationwide. Since 2017, Hai Duong has balanced its budget. The province is also one of the first 5 provinces in the country to complete the task of building new rural areas. The gross regional domestic product (GRDP) in the 2021-2023 period increased by an average of 8.58% per year. It is forecasted that Hai Duong's economic growth in the first 6 months of 2024 will reach 10%. Of which, the growth in the first quarter reached 10.11%, the second quarter is estimated at 9.91%. With this result, the province's economic growth ranks 7th in the country, 3rd in the Red River Delta...

The glorious tradition and achievements are the premise and great motivation for the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Duong to continue to promote their will and aspirations, overcome all difficulties and challenges, and strive to successfully complete the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress; and build a sustainable development of the homeland.
