According to Hai Duong Provincial Police, after more than 5 months of implementing Circular 28, the traffic police force in the whole province has temporarily detained the driving licenses on the VNeID application of 766 cases.
Implementing Circular 28/2024/TT-BCA of the Ministry of Public Security, from July 1 to December 18, the traffic police force in the whole province checked and controlled documents on the VNeID application for 1,067 cases. Of which, 766 cases had their driving licenses temporarily suspended and 246 cases had their driving licenses revoked on VNeID.
The implementation of Circular 28 brings many benefits. In case people violate the rules that require temporary detention of vehicle registration papers and driving licenses, the authorities will not collect or keep physical papers but only temporarily detain them electronically. Information about temporary detention of papers is displayed on the administrative violation handling database system and synchronized with the VNeID application. After the violator pays the fine on the National Public Service Portal, the application will remove the notification of temporary detention of papers. This will facilitate people, saving time and effort in traveling.
