On the morning of March 22, the Provincial Youth Union coordinated with the Department of Education and Training and Thanh Dong University to organize the opening ceremony of the 6th Hai Duong Province High School Student Football Tournament for the Thanh Dong University Cup in 2024 at Thanh Dong University's football field.
180 players are students from high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education of 12 teams from districts, towns and cities in the province participating in the tournament.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, two matches took place between Gia Loc - Thanh Ha and Ninh Giang - Kim Thanh district teams. The results were that Gia Loc district team won Thanh Ha and Ninh Giang team won Kim Thanh with the same score of 3-0.
The qualifying round of the tournament is divided into 4 groups, with the 2 best teams entering the final at 2:00 p.m. on March 24. The closing ceremony and awards ceremony will take place in the afternoon of the same day.
From 2016 to present, Thanh Dong University has been the sponsor and organizer of the tournament with Hai Duong Provincial Youth Union.
The high school student football tournament is an opportunity for youth union members to exchange and learn, create a healthy playground, raise awareness of health training; discover and select students with sports talents, creating a source to participate in larger tournaments.
