He and I fell in love when I was in 10th grade, he was a senior. Carrying our promise, he said goodbye to me and went to America. The day I graduated from college, he came back and proposed to me.

At that time, he was a student majoring in Math, and I was a dreamy Literature student. I met him during a new class exchange. After the study experience sharing session, when I got home, he texted me to get to know me. Thinking that we were seniors from the same school, I happily chatted back.

Luckily, he was there, so a new student like me felt less confused. And thanks to him, my Math score improved a lot, and whenever I didn't understand an exercise, I would go to him.

And then, my plan to focus on studying and not fall in love to avoid neglecting my studies was broken by him. After a few months of getting to know each other, we both agreed to love each other. The stone bench under the purple Lagerstroemia tree, the hallway from my class to his, the school library... all bore our mark.

But perhaps no matter how beautiful the love is, it will eventually end. He received scholarships from prestigious universities in the US. As a young man of 17 full of ambition, he decided to study abroad. We both cried a lot at that time, but then I comforted him and promised to wait for him to return.

The day I graduated from high school, he could only celebrate from afar and send me a bouquet of sunflowers and we continued our love journey thousands of kilometers apart.

When I went to college and lived far away from home, he was always there for me whenever I missed my family. When I was sad, he would deliver my favorite food to my door because he asked my best friend to order it for me. Every year on our anniversary, I would receive a handwritten letter from him with a few words of advice. He always made me feel protected, protected, and not lonely despite the long distance relationship.

However, sometimes I still feel jealous and fear that he will have someone new, but in a long-term relationship, I think that to last, there needs to be mutual trust.

Before my university graduation, I eagerly texted him but he ignored me and did not send me his congratulations as usual. On the day I received my diploma, I was surprised to see him standing in the hall, carrying a bouquet of bright roses and an engagement ring.

That day, I had a college degree and he had too. Meeting again after 6 years, both of us were overwhelmed with emotions like when we first fell in love. Thinking back, everything felt like a dream. After getting married, I planned to move to the US with him to settle down and start a career.
