Hai Duong workers working abroad under labor contracts are concentrated in the markets of Taiwan (China), Japan and Korea.
Since the beginning of the year, 8,837 Hai Duong workers have gone to work abroad under labor contracts, exceeding 96% of the province's 2024 target.
Of these, 4,740 people work in Taiwan (China), 3,328 people work in Japan, 275 people work in Korea, and the rest are in other markets.
Most of Hai Duong people go to work abroad under labor contracts in industries and fields such as mechanics, garment, leather shoes, electronics assembly, construction, agriculture, aquaculture, domestic services, and care for the elderly and sick.
This year, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has coordinated with the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the Overseas Labor Center, and the District People's Committees to implement programs to send Vietnamese workers to work abroad under contracts such as: the Employment Permit Program between the Government of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (EPS Program); recruiting nursing interns to work in Japan; recruiting candidates to study and work in general nursing in the Federal Republic of Germany.
