Introduced as an off-road vehicle, the Yamaha PG-1 has just been officially launched to the world in Thailand. This is a product of cooperation between Yamaha Japan and Thailand.
Yamaha has just introduced the PG-1 2024 model in Thailand with a unique design that combines a manual and off-road motorbike. This design is commonly seen in competitors such as the Honda CT125 and Aveta Ranger Max Explorer in Malaysia.
As planned, the Yamaha PG-1 2024 will announce its price on November 30 at the 40th Thailand International Motorcycle Show.
The front of the car is a cluster of round headlights combined with an iron frame and accompanied by classic halogen bulbs. The clock used is also just a simple mechanical (analog) type, displaying speed, number as well as fuel gauge. The body and fairing are made to be rugged, with many details and exposed frames, giving it a "dusty" appearance.
Meanwhile, the Yamaha PG-1's engine is a 115cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, similar to the Finn model. The PG-1 has a capacity of nearly 9 horsepower with a 4-speed gearbox.
The front shock absorber is a telescopic fork with a 130mm travel, covered with rubber, typical of off-road vehicles to limit mud and dirt. The rear shock absorber is a coil spring, hydraulic shock absorber with a 109mm travel.
The safety equipment of the vehicle is also very basic with a single disc brake on the front wheel, drum brake on the rear wheel. Large knobby tires and 16-inch spoked rims. There are 4 color options available for the PG-1 including: Yellow, Blue, Black and Brown.
