Sunflower garden in Hai Duong city officially opens

Provincial and city leaders attended the event

Comrades: Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Trieu The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee visited the flower garden.

More than 800 members and young people from primary, secondary and high schools in the city performed "Hai Duong shines with thousands of flowers" to vibrant music, attracting a large number of people to watch.

On this occasion, the Hai Duong City Center for Culture, Information and Sports organized a Chinese Chess Tournament next to the flower garden. More than 60 people from 13 units participated in the competition. The closing ceremony and award ceremony will be held in the afternoon of the same day.

This is a series of events to celebrate the 93rd anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2023) and celebrate the new year of Quy Mao, creating an attractive and captivating space, arousing love for the homeland and country, and pride in the land of the heroic and cultural Dong.

The sunflower garden, which is over 1 hectare in size, is in full bloom and will be open to the public for free from February 2 and is expected to last for 15 days. On this occasion, the city will organize a number of special art programs to serve the people.

In October 2020, the “Hai Duong - City of Love” Festival was also held at this sunflower garden to celebrate the 17th Hai Duong Provincial Party Congress, the 216th anniversary of the founding of Thanh Dong and the 66th anniversary of the city’s liberation. After 2 years of being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, this year the flower garden was planted and bloomed again.
