The British King and Queen's visit to Kenya comes at the invitation of Kenyan President William Ruto and comes ahead of the East African nation's 60th anniversary of independence from Britain.
According to a reporter in London, on October 11, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles III and Queen Camilla will make a state visit to Kenya later this month.
This will be the British King's third foreign trip since ascending the throne in September 2022 after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth.
In March this year, King Charles and Queen visited Germany, and last month they had a three-day visit to France, which was considered very successful.
Speaking at a press conference, Deputy Private Secretary to King Charles, Mr. Chris Fitzgerald, said the King and Queen's visit to Kenya from October 31 to November 3 was organized at the invitation of Kenyan President William Ruto and ahead of the event to celebrate the 60th anniversary of this East African country's independence from Britain.
During his stay in Kenya, King Charles is scheduled to meet President Ruto, business executives, United Nations staff, religious leaders and soldiers.
