Ha Long Bay in top 10 most visited natural wonders in the world

The ranking is based on the evaluation of the 7 Wonders of Nature Organization, Google and the latest surveys collected from social networks and travel applications TripAdvisor according to the number of annual visitors.

Accordingly, with 2.6 million visitors annually, Ha Long Bay (Quang Ninh province, Vietnam) ranks 4th out of 10 destinations on this list.

For a long time, Ha Long Bay has always been a must-visit destination for international tourists when coming to Vietnam. This heritage has always received high ratings from the world's leading travel magazines as well as international media.

Previously, in October, the US magazine Forbes ranked Ha Long Bay in the top 24 best destinations for 2024, stating that it is “one of the world’s most unique ecosystems and geological formations. Few places have such a combination of natural beauty, outdoor activities, fresh food, tranquility and easy accessibility.”

Also in late October, the famous international magazine Condé Nast Traveler also included Ha Long Bay in the list of 51 most beautiful destinations in the world. The magazine also listed Ha Long Bay as one of the most colorful destinations in the world.

In March 2023, CNN's travel site voted Ha Long Bay among the top 25 most beautiful destinations in the world. In February 2023, Travel + Leisure magazine recommended Ha Long Bay as one of the four ideal destinations to watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets that visitors can visit in any season.

Ha Long Bay has also become an impressive setting for Hollywood films such as the blockbuster “Kong: Skull Island” and “The Creator” - a science fiction film directed by Gareth Edwards.

In The Travel's list of the 10 most visited natural wonders in the world, there are other famous places such as: Grand Canyon, Arizona (USA) ranked first with 5 million visitors per year; Table Mountain (South Africa) ranked second with 4.2 million visitors per year; Moraine Lake (Canada) ranked third with 4 million visitors per year.

Following Ha Long Bay are the following wonders: Matterhorn (Switzerland and Italy); Great Barrier Reef (Australia); Arches National Park, Utah (USA); Cliffs of Moher (Ireland); Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil); Guanabara Bay, Rio de Janeiro (Brazil).
