From May 21 to 27, schools in the province held awards ceremonies for students who won prizes in the "Painting Contest for Children and Adolescents about the Dien Bien Phu Victory and Images of Dien Bien Phu Today" contest.
In this competition, Hai Duong had 7 students winning prizes. Among them, Nguyen Nam Phong, class 5D, Gia Luong Primary School (Gia Loc) excellently won first prize. Pham Quynh Chi, class 1D, Ho Chi Minh I Primary School (Tu Ky) won second prize.
Students Bui Thi Thao My, class 4A; Vu Thi Tu Quyen, class 5A (both from Yet Kieu Primary School, Gia Loc); Pham Mai Khoi, class 2B, Hai Tan Primary School (Hai Duong City); Nguyen Thi Thu Thao, class 4D, Thuong Vu Primary School (Kim Thanh) won third prize and student Vu Gia Han, class 4A, Yet Kieu Primary School won the consolation prize.
The contest "Painting by children about Dien Bien Phu Victory and images of Dien Bien Phu today" is jointly organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, the Central Youth Union and the People's Committee of Dien Bien province to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.
From 422,562 entries, the jury selected 124 entries with the highest results to award 10 first prizes, 20 second prizes, 40 third prizes and 54 consolation prizes.
Hai Duong teenagers and children have more than 1,000 works participating in the contest.
