Vietnam-Laos enhance cooperation efficiency to meet new requirements

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received Chief of the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Thongsalith Mangnomek

On February 17, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong received a high-ranking delegation from the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee Office led by Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Central Committee Office, on the occasion of the delegation's visit and work in Vietnam.

Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek was delighted to visit Vietnam in his new position and expressed his honor to be received by General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, who expressed his warm feelings for the delegation.

Respectfully conveying to the General Secretary the greetings of Lao General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and congratulating General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on receiving the 55-year Party membership badge on February 2, Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek congratulated the great and comprehensive achievements that Vietnam has achieved in recent times; believing that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the Vietnamese people will continue to gain many new and greater achievements in the renovation process, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress.

Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek was delighted at the increasingly deep and extensive Vietnam-Laos solidarity relationship in various forms in various fields, including practical activities during the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year 2022, and expressed deep gratitude for the wholehearted and sincere assistance that Vietnam has given to Laos in the past struggle for liberation as well as in the current cause of national construction and development.

Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek expressed his impression of the socio-economic development achievements that Vietnam has made in recent times. The results achieved demonstrate the talented leadership role of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong through his thoughts and guiding views at the Central Conferences as well as in his articles on a number of theoretical and practical issues on socialism and the path to socialism in Vietnam. These are valuable experiences, a great and important source of encouragement for the cause of building and developing Laos.

Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek informed General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong about the recent situation in Laos.

He highly appreciated the cooperation results between the two Central Party Offices in the past time as well as the good and useful results of the talks with Mr. Le Minh Hung and emphasized that recently, the two Offices have coordinated well to complete assigned political tasks, well organized activities in the Vietnam-Laos Solidarity and Friendship Year, and exchanged experiences to do a good job of advising the Central Party, the Politburo, the Secretariat and the highest leaders of the Party.

The two sides discussed and agreed on the implementation plan of the Cooperation Agreement between the Central Offices of the two Parties for the 2021-2025 period and the Agreement between the senior leaders of the two Parties and the two countries, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the Congress of each Party.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong welcomed Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek to visit Vietnam; highly appreciated the significance and results of the visit; congratulated the achievements in various fields that Laos has achieved after 2 years of implementing the Resolution of the 11th National Party Congress, in which there were very important contributions from the Central Office of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party.

The General Secretary believes that under the leadership of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, the Lao people will continue to gain many new and greater achievements, successfully implementing the Resolution of the 11th Party Congress.

The General Secretary affirmed that the Party, State and people of Vietnam always attach importance to the special and loyal relationship as both comrades and brothers with Laos and strongly support the cause of renovation, protection and construction of Laos. The Party, State and people of Vietnam always remember the wholehearted and sincere assistance that the Party, State and people of Laos have given to Vietnam up to now.

The General Secretary expressed his delight at the increasingly developing special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos, which has become more in-depth, practical and effective in all fields, contributing significantly to maintaining political stability, national defense, security and socio-economic development of each country.

In the coming time, the two parties and two countries need to continue to strengthen and improve the effectiveness of cooperation to meet new requirements, share and support each other, and overcome difficulties.

The General Secretary highly appreciated the tradition and cooperative relationship between the two Central Offices and the results of the talks, which have significantly contributed to consolidating and strengthening the Vietnam-Laos relationship.

The General Secretary emphasized the extremely important position and role of the two Offices in providing strategic advice to the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, and the Standing Secretariat, helping to organize and direct the Party's leadership work, coordinating and harmonizing the activities of the Central Party's advisory bodies, assisting in inspection and supervision work, and the need to constantly learn and accumulate experience to perform well the assigned tasks.

General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong suggested that in the coming time, the two Central Offices of the Party continue to promote their traditions, closely coordinate, exchange theoretical and practical issues, experience, cooperate and help each other in strategic work, effectively implement the Cooperation Agreement between the two Central Offices of the two Parties and the Agreement between the two Parties' senior leaders, contributing to the successful implementation of the Congress Resolution of each Party.

On this occasion, the General Secretary sent his regards and best wishes to General Secretary and President of Laos Thongloun Sisoulith and other senior leaders and former leaders of the Lao Party and State.

On the same day, the delegation of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee Office led by Mr. Thongsalith Mangnomek, Secretary of the Lao Party Central Committee and Chief of the Lao Central Committee Office, had talks with the delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Office led by Mr. Le Minh Hung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Chief of the Central Committee Office.

At the meeting, the two sides informed each other about the recent situation of each Party and each country; exchanged information and experience in improving the quality of research and advice to serve the leaders of the two Parties and the implementation of the Agreement between the two Central Offices of the two Parties for the 2021-2025 period.

According to Vietnam+
