Four students from the team of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Nam Dinh) have won gold medals at the World Invention and Creativity Olympiad, held in Korea.
Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Nam Dinh City, Nam Dinh Province) announced that four of its students have just won gold medals at the World Invention and Creativity Olympiad, held in Seoul, South Korea.
The team of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted (Nam Dinh) participating in this competition includes 4 students: Vu Duc Manh, Nguyen Trong Phuc, Tran Phuong Linh (grade 12 specializing in Biology) and Hoang Mai Phuc Thinh (grade 11 English 2).

The students competed and won gold medals with the topic "Nanomelanin derived from squid, protecting human skin fibroblasts against X-rays", under the guidance of teacher, Dr. Tran Thi Thanh Xuan, Head of Biology - Technology Group of Le Hong Phong High School for the Gifted.
The World Invention and Creativity Olympiad (WICO) is an annual competition established and organized by the Korean University Invention Association and sponsored by the National Assembly.
WICO 2023 is the 12th time the competition has been held with the aim of stimulating the talent and passion for science and technology, as well as promoting healthy competition among high school students around the world. New, creative and practical inventions and innovations will be judged by an international jury, according to strict criteria, determined by leading scientists.
This year's competition was held at COEX Convention Hall, Gangnam District, Seoul, Korea from February 3 to 4.
Up to now, Vietnamese students have participated in WICO for 7 years and have achieved high results.
