Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, presented the Hai Duong Province Union of Science and Technology Associations with a banner bearing the words "Solidarity - Creativity - Innovation - Development".

Speaking at the congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang and Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations Phan Xuan Dung acknowledged the great contributions of the provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations to the development of science and technology (S&T) of the province in the fields of socio-economy and people's lives.

To achieve the goals set by the congress, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang suggested that in the coming time, the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations should be more proactive and active in advising, thoroughly grasping and effectively implementing the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on science and technology development; must be the core force in the cause of building an increasingly strong intellectual team, meeting the development requirements in the new situation. Continue to play a core role in gathering, uniting and promoting the creative capacity of the intellectual team, representing the voice of those working in science and technology. Actively propose and advise the province on practical issues to successfully implement the Resolution of the Party Congresses at all levels for the 2020-2025 term.

Building and developing science and technology is not only the responsibility of the union and the intellectual team, but also the responsibility of the Party committees, authorities and organizations in the province. Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Tran Duc Thang suggested that the Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province strengthen leadership, direction and pay attention to the activities of the union so that the unit can fulfill its assigned functions and tasks well. The Provincial Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee will create all conditions for the unit and the provincial scientific intellectual team to promote their pioneering role in exploring new knowledge, applying new technology, making practical and effective contributions to the socio-economic development of the province.

Comrade Nguyen Minh Hung, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing activities of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations for the 2017-2022 term.

On this occasion, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 5 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing activities of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations for the 2017-2022 term.

Previously, in the afternoon session on November 29, the congress elected 47 comrades to the Executive Committee, 11 comrades to the Standing Committee and elected the Chairman and 3 Vice Chairmen of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations for the 6th term 2022-2027. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong was re-elected as Chairman of the Provincial Union of Science and Technology Associations for the 6th term 2022-2027.
