Domestic gold prices increased in the context of precious metals on the international market increasing sharply in recent days and setting new records.

In the international market, the price of precious metals suddenly broke the old peak of last year, at one point reaching 2,820 USD/ounce. Although it has cooled down and closed the week at 2,801 USD/ounce, investors and experts believe that the price of gold will continue to increase strongly due to the threat of tariffs from the US and the instability it brings.

Converted according to Vietcombank's selling rate, the world gold price this morning is equivalent to 85.4 million VND per tael. The difference between domestic and world gold prices is currently around 3.5 - 4 million VND per tael.

This morning, the domestic USD price also increased sharply. Vietcombank raised the USD buying and selling price to 25,090 - 25,480 VND, an increase of 180 VND compared to before Tet. The US dollar price on the black market is trading around 24,450 - 25,550 VND.
