Round 4 of V-League is a round that will go down in Vietnamese football history when all matches apply VAR technology.
Round 4 of V-League 2024/2025 has taken place 5/7 matches. The two matches between Nam Dinh and Ha Tinh and Hanoi FC and Hanoi Police were postponed to October 19 because the home team of Thien Truong Stadium and the police team were busy competing in an international tournament.
Previously, the 5 early matches were all applied VAR technology by the Organizing Committee. According to information from the Organizing Committee, the remaining 2 matches of round 4 of V-League 2024/2025 will also apply VAR technology.
If there are no last-minute changes, round 4 of the 2024/2025 V-League will go down in Vietnamese football history. Because this is the first time a round in the V-League has applied VAR technology in 100% of matches.
In the 2024/2025 season, the Organizing Committee is operating 4 VAR vehicles. In the announcement at the beginning of the season, VPF will try to apply VAR in all matches to ensure fairness for the teams. However, due to the schedule and limited number of VAR vehicles, it will not be until round 4 that VPF will apply VAR 100% of the matches for the first time.
Since the introduction of VAR, refereeing errors have been significantly reduced compared to previous seasons. However, there are still some referees who make mistakes despite the support of VAR and are subsequently suspended.
