The Inspection Committees at all levels in Hai Duong are truly a reliable support for Party committees in Party building work.

On the morning of October 12, the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee held a meeting to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Party Inspection Sector's Traditional Day (October 16, 1948 - October 16, 2023).

Comrades: Tran Duc Thang, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and a number of comrades of the Standing Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee attended.

Leaders, former leaders, and officials of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and leaders of the Inspection Commission and inspection agencies of the District Party Committees, Town Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee attended the meeting.

Speaking at the meeting, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang acknowledged and commended the efforts and achievements of the province's Party inspection sector in recent years. The Party inspection sector from the province to the grassroots level has constantly trained and strived to mature in all aspects, effectively serving the Party building work. Generations of cadres of the Party inspection sector have constantly cultivated and strived, always determined to have a firm political stance, ready to overcome all difficulties and challenges; loyal to the Party's goals and ideals, united and helped each other to successfully complete assigned tasks. The Inspection Committees at all levels are truly a reliable support for Party committees at all levels in Party building work.

Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang emphasized that the role and responsibility of Party committees and Inspection Committees at all levels in the Party inspection work in the coming time is extremely important and heavy. Party committees at all levels, especially the provincial Party inspection sector, need to continue to improve the effectiveness of propaganda work to create high unity in awareness and action of Party committees at all levels, Party organizations, cadres and Party members in the work of inspection, building and rectification of the Party.

Inspection and supervision work must be conducted regularly, comprehensively, publicly, democratically, cautiously and strictly, with prevention and construction as the main focus. Attention must be paid to detecting violations, through monitoring activities, through the press, through denunciations from the people. Focus on inspection and supervision of places where violations and internal disunity are likely to occur. Strengthen inspection and supervision of heads of Party committees, authorities, heads of agencies and units in performing assigned duties and tasks, maintaining moral qualities, lifestyle, style and pioneering and exemplary character in performing tasks...

The provincial Party Inspection Department must proactively implement the principle of focused and key inspections, while expanding supervision to strengthen the prevention of violations. Pay attention to grasping the situation of activities of Party organizations and Party members, especially leaders, managers, heads of all levels, sectors, localities and units to promptly detect, prevent and overcome shortcomings and defects. Quickly and thoroughly resolve petitions, denunciations and complaints against Party organizations and Party members.

The Provincial Party Secretary noted the need to strengthen coordination between the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and the Provincial Party Committee's advisory and support agencies and relevant agencies in deploying and performing tasks; closely combining regular and ad hoc inspections and supervisions. The provincial Party Inspection sector also needs to focus on building a team of inspection cadres to meet the requirements of the tasks in the new situation. Cadres doing inspection work must always maintain their mettle, have courage, integrity, impartiality and fight against violations and negativity in the Party. The inspection cadre team must strive to study to improve their political theory and professional qualifications, cultivate revolutionary ethics, seriously conduct self-criticism and criticism; overcome the manifestations of flattery, lack of determination and deference, and avoidance of difficult and complicated matters...

At the end of 1948, due to the requirements of political tasks and Party building work, the Party's specialized inspection agency was officially established under Resolution No. 29/QN/TW dated October 16, 1948 of the Party Central Committee Standing Committee (1st term) signed by General Secretary Truong Chinh. Since then, October 16 every year has become the Traditional Day of the Party inspection sector nationwide.

In Hai Duong, along with the establishment and development of the Provincial Party Committee and the requirements of the tasks, at the end of 1940, the Provincial Party Committee formed a unit called "Inspection Team" under the direct direction and assignment of tasks by the Party Committee. In February 1957, on the basis of the "Inspection Team" unit, the first Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee was established. By 1960, the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee and the District-level Inspection Committee were established. Since 1982, the system of Inspection Committees at all levels from the provincial to the grassroots level was formed. In February 1968, due to the requirements of the revolutionary tasks, the two provinces of Hai Duong and Hung Yen were merged into Hai Hung province. By January 1997, the two provinces were re-established, and accordingly the Inspection Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee was also re-established.

Since the province was re-established (January 1997) up to now, the Inspection Committees at all levels in Hai Duong province have inspected 1,378 party organizations and 9,338 party members when there were signs of violations; reviewed, disciplined and advised the Party Committee to discipline 8,169 party members and 108 party organizations that violated.
