Inspection Committees at all levels in Hai Duong contribute to maintaining Party discipline

Enhance the Party's capacity and fighting strength

At the end of 1948, due to the requirements of political tasks and Party building work, the Party's specialized inspection agency was officially established under Resolution No. 29/QN/TW dated October 16, 1948 of the Party Central Committee Standing Committee (1st term) signed by General Secretary Truong Chinh. Since then, October 16 every year has become the Traditional Day of the Party inspection sector nationwide.

In Hai Duong, along with the establishment and development of the Provincial Party Committee and the requirements of the tasks, at the end of 1940, the Provincial Party Committee formed a unit called "Inspection Team" under the direct direction and assignment of tasks by the Party Committee. In February 1957, on the basis of the "Inspection Team" unit, the first Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee was established. By 1960, the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee and the District Inspection Committee were established. Since 1982, the system of Inspection Committees at all levels from the province to the grassroots level has been formed.

In February 1968, due to the requirements of revolutionary tasks, the two provinces of Hai Duong and Hung Yen were merged into Hai Hung province. In January 1997, the two provinces were re-established, and accordingly, the Inspection Committee of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee was also re-established.

Through the revolutionary stages, the Party Inspection Department of Hai Duong province has always overcome difficulties, closely followed the political tasks in each period, actively and proactively advised the Party Committee and comprehensively performed the tasks according to the provisions of the Party Charter and the tasks assigned by the Party Committee. Through the implementation of the Party's inspection, supervision and discipline work, the Inspection Committees at all levels have advised the Party Committees at all levels to lead, direct and organize the implementation of the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws in practical life; the implementation of the principle of democratic centralism and the Party Committee's working regulations; the preservation of political qualities, revolutionary ethics, working methods, styles and working manners of cadres and Party members.

Inspection and supervision work contributes to improving leadership capacity, fighting strength, maintaining discipline, solidarity and unity within the Party; helping Party committees maintain their leadership and solidarity role, and consolidating people's trust in the Party.

Innovation, efficiency

Since the re-establishment of the province (January 1997) to date, the Inspection Committees at all levels in the province have inspected 1,378 party organizations and 9,338 party members when there were signs of violations; reviewed, disciplined and advised the Party Committee to discipline 8,169 party members and 108 party organizations that violated the law. The Inspection Committees at all levels have also conducted 20,649 inspections of lower-level party organizations performing inspection and supervision tasks, 5,800 inspections of the implementation of discipline within the Party; and performed the task of supervising 8,849 party organizations and 13,916 party members.

In particular, since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Party's inspection and supervision work in Hai Duong has had many innovations, constantly improving quality and efficiency. Implementing the direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the inspection and supervision work has focused on areas, locations, and positions that are prone to corruption and negativity, especially checking signs of degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle, and prominent issues that cause social outrage, which are bottlenecks in Hai Duong's socio-economic development.

The Inspection Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee has strengthened thematic supervision and inspection of Party organizations and Party members when there are signs of violations. When detecting shortcomings and violations of Party organizations and Party members, the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee reviews, decides and recommends that the Provincial Party Committee decide to strictly enforce discipline. Propaganda work is focused on; the implementation of information on the results of meetings is seriously implemented by the Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee.

The activities and work of the Party inspection sector in Hai Duong always demonstrate the ideology of "proactiveness, combat, education, efficiency" with the motto of "fairness, accuracy, timeliness", "no forbidden areas, no exceptions". The results and effectiveness of the inspection and supervision work have both contributed positively to maintaining Party discipline, purifying the Party members, strengthening the Party's fighting strength, and raising the awareness and responsibility of Party organizations and Party members, contributing to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the Provincial Party Committee.

The results and achievements in recent times are an important premise for the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission and cadres and civil servants of the Party inspection sector in the whole province to continue to promote the glorious tradition of the sector, determined to excellently complete all assigned tasks, making practical contributions to the work of Party building and rectification, and promoting the socio-economic development of Hai Duong.
